ROCK legend Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, who died this week aged, played only one gig in Scunthorpe with his band Motorhead.
The show on January 29, 1977 at the town's Priory Hotel came two years after ex-Hawkwind bassist-singer Lemmy teamed up with Larry Wallis, on guitar, and Lucas Fox, on drums.
The Scunthorpe gig organisers at Randy Pig Promotions treated fans by only charging £1 admission.
Bar Fly recalls one of Lemmy's famous quotes was: "If we moved in next door, your grass would die."
