Diamond Jubilee celebrations for members of the Foxhills Institute, Scunthorpe, have been marred by the sudden death of chairman Tony Sanderson at the age of 53.
Father of one Mr Sanderson, who had been battling cancer for five years, collapsed in the club office on January 18 and later died in Scunthorpe Hospital.
Paying tribute, Foxhills secretary Jacqui Burton said: "We are all shocked by his death. Tony was an absolutely lovely bloke and really well liked."
