Actor Stephen Lewis, who played Blakey in hit TV series On The Buses and Smiler in Last of the Summer Wine, has died aged 88, and will be remembered in North Lincolnshire.
In 1998 he made a guest appearance at Barton residential home The Willows as he handed over an Investors in People Award to Barton Medical Services.
Dressed as the much-loved but cantankerous Insp Blakey from On The Buses, he played to the audience before handing over the plaque to BMS director Dr Robert Jaggs-Fowler.
