A POPULAR woman who dedicated her life to theatre has died at the age of 89.Joan Brown, pictured, passed away at Scunthorpe General Hospital on Monday, March 9.Her family say she will be sorely missed.Joan moved to Scunthorpe in 1947, joined the Hospital Players shortly after her arrival and spent 68 years with them.Having never been involved in the theatre before, she went on to play the leading lady in countless plays – and performed various roles in around 120 plays until ill health...
